About

WACKER CLOTHING COMPANY

Every piece begins with a story.

Where It All Began

Wacker Clothing Company was born from a photograph, a memory and a deep love of the way fashion used to feel.

Founder and designer Carlie Wacker grew up surrounded by beautiful things — family photo archives filled with elegantly dressed women who understood that what you wore said something about who you were. It was these images, these women, and these stories that planted the seed for everything Wacker Clothing Company has become.

The Wacker name itself carries history. The family's roots in Brisbane stretch back to 1917, when Morgan and Wacker became the first Harley Davidson dealership outside of the USA. From the family homestead that once stood atop Teneriffe, Brisbane, to the sun-soaked shores of Noosa — this is a brand with a sense of place, and a deep respect for the past.

The Woman Behind the Label

Carlie is a designer, storyteller and the beating heart of this brand.

Every collection begins not with a trend report, but with a feeling — a photograph pulled from a family archive, a memory of a woman dressed with intention, a fabric that feels too beautiful not to bring to life.

Carlie designs for the Wacker Woman — a woman who has lived a little, loved a lot, and dresses like she knows exactly who she is. A woman who values quality over quantity, story over trend, and pieces made with care and conscience.

Each design is named with meaning — after grandmothers, granddaughters, daughters-in-law, best friends and the women who inspire us every single day. Because at Wacker, fashion is never just fashion. It's family.

How We Make

Wacker Clothing Company is built on a foundation of conscious, considered fashion.

Every piece is produced in small batches — limited by design, never by accident. We work with a small, trusted manufacturing team in Vietnam who source remnant and recycled fabrics, are paid above a sustainable living wage, and never work overtime or on public holidays.

We choose organic and recycled linen and linen-cotton blends because they are the most sustainable, breathable and beautiful fabrics we know. They soften with every wash, wear better with age, and are designed to journey through life alongside the women who wear them.

When a Wacker piece sells out, it's gone. There are no second runs, no restocks, no compromise on quality for the sake of quantity.

The Philosophy

We believe a wardrobe should tell a story.

We believe the most beautiful pieces are the ones that mean something — that carry a name, a memory, a moment in time.

We believe fashion should be made with care, worn with joy and passed down with love.

And we believe that the women who came before us — the ones in the photographs, the ones whose elegance we are still trying to capture — deserve to be remembered in every stitch.

Fashion fades. Stories don't.

Every Wacker piece begins with a story. You get to write the next chapter.
