The Joanie is my first women's design, and there was only ever one name for it.
Named in honour of my late mother-in-law Joan Wacker — a woman of quiet elegance who designed and made her own clothing in her early years — the Joanie skirt is inspired by the considered tailoring of the 1930s, a decade that understood how a skirt should move, drape and make a woman feel.
An asymmetrical three-tiered silhouette falls into a sweeping maxi length, fitted at the waist with a centre back zipper for a clean, polished finish. Lightweight, luxurious and endlessly versatile — dressed up for a special occasion, or worn to the office with effortless ease.
Crafted in a 100% recycled cotton in a vintage floral (white base with green, blush, pink and yellow print).
